How To Make Your Dinner Guests Line Up And Beg For Seconds
We’re having a special dinner tonight. My husband and I decided to surprise his parents by showing up without notice and cooking them a delicious meal. My mother-in-law is a great cook and she has so often pampered us with the most amazing dishes, so we wanted to return the favor and let her sit back, for once!
At first, the thought was a little intimidating. I mean, how could I impress someone who is such a great cook herself? I also didn’t want to pick a super complicated recipe – it would be a little embarrassing if I managed to burn or otherwise ruin the whole meal, just because I didn’t know what I was doing.
So, I wanted something simple. Something that would be absolutely delicious but still easy to make, even for a so-so home cook like me. I picked out a few of my favorite recipes from the past years and asked for my husbands opinion. He said he loved them all, so it would be up to me! Can you guess which one of these I chose?
I guess it wouldn’t really matter since all of these have been a huge success at our house. Now, I can’t wait for tonight!
