If You Can Open A Box You Can Wow Thanksgiving Guests With This!

Okay, everybody had at least one grandma that probably qualified as a Master Baker. That can certainly be an intimidating heritage to try to live up to, especially when the closest you’ve ever come to baking a cake was walking down the baking aisle at your local market. But don’t despair! With Beth’s simple-to-follow recipe and some basic box and can opening skills, you can easily turn out this delicious cake that will have your Thanksgiving guests lining up and begging for seconds.

This particular type of cake preparation is known as a “dump cake” because, well, you basically just dump all of the ingredients together and hope for the best! Haha! Just kidding! These cakes turn out moist and delicious every time, no matter the level of baking skills a person might possess.

That is why they are perennial favorites, especially around the holidays, when the whirlwind of social engagements can make your life so hectic you just want to run and hide. Let this easiest-to-prepare cake be your go-to holiday dessert. It is far easier to make than the traditional pumpkin pie, yet it still has that deliciously seasonal pumpkin flavor that everyone craves this time of year.

Quick Tip:   This cake can be baked the day before you plan to serve it, just store it in the fridge. You can then eat it cold, warm individual portions in the microwave or warm the whole thing in the oven. Or you could just take it out of the fridge about an hour before serving and let it warm to room temperature.
