There are some ingredients that come into style that you never would have imagined would be so popular. For example, I still don’t really get the attraction to kale – sure it’s nutritious, but most of the same nutrients can be found in tastier foods. Something else that blew me away was the resurgence in popularity for Brussels sprouts. Not that that’s a bad thing – I happen to love Brussel sprouts. This recipe takes them to a flavor level that I had never contemplated before, and I love it. It comes from Delish, and it combines the zippy tang of a Caser salad with the yummy crunch of Brussels sprouts.

This recipe isn’t necessarily the easiest thing you’ll ever make, but it’s so worth the extra effort. The biggest problem I had was shaving the Brussels sprouts, but did you know that you can buy them shredded in many grocery stores? You may want to check yours to see if that’s an option for you to make this recipe easier. It’s a perfect dish to serve up next to a pasta to get some nutritious greens into your menu!
