Simple and Tasty, This Casserole Will Make Everyone Smile (and Drool)
I have to admit, when I first saw this recipe I thought it would be good but nothing too special. Well, I was wrong- this casserole was fantastic! Especially for how easy it was to make. Now I consider it a side dish but you could totally eat this as a meal. There are potatoes, cheese and pepperoni- it is, after all, a pizza casserole!
You may be wondering what goes into this magical pizza casserole and I am here to tell you. It starts with the all mighty tater-tot. Straight from the freezer section and into your casserole dish, pour those tater tots in and you are on your way to casserole greatness. Ground sausage, peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms and, of course, cheese, go on top of the tater tots. It is almost like the tater tots are the rust and the all the pizza toppings are piled on (and please, feel free to add more toppings if you’d like!).
Everything is baked until the cheese is bubbling just like a pizza! Slice this casserole up and serve it any day- the awesome pizza flavor and convenience of a casserole dish will ensure that you will want to make this dish again!
