Free Up the Oven with This No-Bake Appetizer

Football season is still in full swing, which means I’m still hunting up fresh recipes for feeding our hungry guests. Cheering on the team is hungry work you know! When I saw this appetizer, I admit that I wasn’t sure what to think at first. Cream cheese, olives, and nuts all wrapped up in little bite-sized chunks wasn’t my first thought when I think about a tasty appetizer. But when you bite into these, you realize just how wrong you were. They are creamy, salty, crunchy, and perfect for munching. They also look a bit more fancy than a plate of pretzels, which I always love as the perpetual hostess.

One thing I really love about this recipe is that it doesn’t require any baking. That’s perfect when your oven is being used for other things, and you just want to get something done quickly. All you have to do is assemble the little olive and cheese truffles and then pop them in the fridge. They are easy to make ahead, but are fast enough to throw together when you’re running short on time. Big thanks have to go to the chef at Bunny’s Warm Oven for this tasty appetizer!

Quick tip: The recipe calls for large cocktail olives, but I made them with regular olives and they worked out just fine!
