This ice cream sandwich cake is the perfect summer treat! Ever since I discovered the recipe a few summers ago during a stifling too-hot-turn-on-the-oven heat wave, I’ve been making it as often as I can for my family. We all love how tasty and refreshing it is during the heat of the summer and I love that it’s literally three ingredients.
It takes just minutes to prepare and then after a chill in the freezer it’s ready to slice and serve. Each creamy bit will transport you back to your own childhood and eating ice cream sandwiches. If you need a quick and easy no bake dessert this one is what you’re looking for.
Ingredients:
24 ice cream sandwiches
16 oz container of cool whip
16 oz (or similar) jar of hot fudge ice cream topping
Directions:
Line a 9×13 pan with freezer or parchment paper.
Cover bottom with 12 ice cream sandwiches.
Top with a layer of hot fudge and then a layer of whipped cream.
Add another layer of ice cream sandwiches.
Top with remaining fudge and cool whip.
Sprinkle with your favorite sprinkles (optional)
Freeze overnight

Quick tip: Make your own whipped cream instead of cool whip for the layers if you prefer to use real cream.
