Discover The Tantalizing Taste Secret!

Cabbage is such a humble, unassuming veggie! It sits, somewhat forlornly, on the grocery shelves, looking like the heads of some alien species. It is often overlooked because people have memories of the stinky boiled cabbage dishes that were prepared by their mother in their childhood.

But if you don’t try out cabbage, prepared in new and different ways, you are really missing out, not only on vital nutrients, but also on some great-tasting side dishes that can be worthy of presenting to dinner guests. Cabbage is an excellent source of Vitamin K, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. Plus it is generally inexpensive. If you use this impressive recipe brought to us by Angela, you will be serving a deluxe dish crammed full of nutrients and out-of-this-world taste.

If you are concerned that it might be a bit bland for your taste, branch out and try new things. Add some herbs, such as thyme, tarragon or coriander. A pinch of crushed red pepper flakes will add a little zing to this dish. If you are serving people who like spicier foods, you could add some thin jalapeno slices on top of the cabbage wedges before you carefully pour on the sauce.

Quick Tip:  When cutting your wedges, place the flat side of your half cabbage face down on the cutting board. This will prevent your knife from accidentally slipping and potentially causing an injury. Also, make sure that you use a large, sharp knife. This is not a good job for a paring knife!
