Ripe And Bursting With Flavor, These Berries Will Blow You Away!
Blueberries are an amazing powerhouse of healthy nutrients and compounds that can improve your health. They have Vitamin K for bone health, fiber for heart health and help protect your body from breast cancer, colon cancer, and esophageal cancer.
Blueberries can help you improve both your vision (but not your night vision, as previously thought) and your memory. They also help you maintain healthy cholesterol levels, blood pressure levels and blood sugar levels. They are truly like Mother Nature’s little blue pills.
Did I mention that they are amazingly tasty, too? If you asked 100 random strangers to name their favorite fruit cobbler, the majority would probably pick blueberry. Terri brings us a great basic cobbler recipe that is filled to the bursting point with ripe, luscious blueberries. It is very simple to make and you can have it made and baked in less than an hour.
Blueberries are big business in the US. They are currently grown commercially in 38 States, but 98% of all blueberries grown in the US come from just 10 of those states, most of which are coastal or have shores on large bodies of water. Blueberries grow wild just about everywhere, but they like humidity, cooler winters, mild summers and acidic soils.

Quick Tip: Once you have a good basic cobbler recipe, such as this one, you can use the same recipe and just substitute whatever fresh fruit is in season.
