Go Old School with This Crowd Pleasing Favorite

  • sugar cookies

The frosting for this cookie is a cream cheese and powdered sugar mix, which will harden a bit after day one. Most lovers of sugar cookies enjoy the slight crunch of the frosting compared to the soft chewiness of the cookie, but be aware if you’ve never had this type of cookie before! Don’t expect a creamy frosting past the first day. That being said, these cookies from Adventures of a DIY Mom are perfect for keeping around in the cookie jar. The kids will love decorating with sprinkles if you have them, and guests unanimously enjoy this delicious treat.

Quick tip: Be careful not to overmix cookies when making the dough, or you’ll get tough bricks instead of chewy treats.
