Any Pie You Love Can be Even Cuter When It’s a Mini Pie
It is a fact proven by the Internet that small things are cute. From tiny animals to miniature food, everything small is adorable. Mini pies are no different, and I’ve been wanting to try creating mini pies myself for a while now. But before I did, I stumbled on this version at Tablespoon and immediately knew I was hooked. Here’s why: the ingredients are simple and it’s easy to make whatever kind of pie you like. In fact, what I did was to create a variety of pies to offer up to friends at a game day hang out. A handful of pumpkin pies, a few apple pies, and I even snuck in some end-of-the-season berry pies with the rest. Top with whipped cream and serve, and you’ve got the easiest handheld dessert ever with all the flavor of a delicious pie. I love this recipe for how simple it is – there’s no way to mess it up. Give it a try and you’ll see how easy it is to make mini pies for yourself. You could even use this recipe as a base for creating a chicken pot pie – which is something I’ll be trying out soon.

Quick tip: Make your pies easy to lift out of the pan by crisscrossing two strips of parchment paper like an X in the pan before you put the pie inside. Leave the tabs out so that you can lift up when done baking.
