Until you try this Crock Pot Barbecue Chicken you won’t fully understand just how delicious five simple ingredients can be. This is seriously one of the most mouth wateringly tasty chicken recipes for dinner dishes you’ll ever eat—and maybe the most simple, too. The sweet and tangy sauce pairs perfectly with ultra-tender and moist chicken.
It’s life changing, I’m telling you. My family requests this at least once a week and I’m always happy to make it for them. Give it a try—just know that after you make it one time you won’t be able to stop.
4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts thawed
3 cups your favorite barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s is great!)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp onion powder
In your crock pot stir together all ingredients except the chicken breasts.
Add in chicken and stir around to make sure each breast is well coated in the sauce.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
Remove chicken from crock pot and shred to your desired consistency (bigger or smaller chunks).
Add shredded chicken back into crock pot and stir to soak up the sauce. Serve on buns with coleslaw or other favorite toppings.

Quick tip: You can make this with frozen chicken breasts but will need to increase the cooking time to 7-9 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high.
