Take your grilling game up a notch with these crazy delicious cheese stuffed burgers! They’re everything you love about a cheeseburger with perfectly melted cheese that keeps your burger moist and juicy—literal burger perfection.
These are a completely foolproof recipe—anyone can stuff chunks of cheese between two tender beef patties—and come out perfect each and every time. My family looks forward to these every summer where we have them almost every weekend. Customize them with your favorite burger toppings and cheese to make them the perfect dinner for the whole family.
1 ½ pounds 85% lean ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
4 oz. block cheddar cheese
Buns and desired burger toppings
Divide ground beef into 8 equal sized patties (they will be thin).
Season well with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Divide cheese into 4 equal chunks.
Place a chunk of cheese into the center of 4 of the patties.
Top with the other four patties and seal edges together.
Grill on medium high heat until desired doneness (5 – 6 minutes per side for medium).
Let rest a few minutes before assembling burgers and serving.

Quick tip: If you can’t grill these can also be cooked in a skillet (cast iron gives best flavor) on the stove top.
