Spooky Thirst Quencher – A Hit With Adult & Child Goblins
It’s that time of year again. The nights grow long and the winds of the changing season moan through the trees, robbing them of their leaves, which swirl in a ghoulish dance down deserted streets. Yes, it’s Halloween!
This is my favorite time of year. Most every year, I have some sort of party. I have had full-blown haunted house parties, séances and intimate gatherings of just a few friends to quietly reflect on the past year and pay tribute to the change of seasons.
I have been looking for a drink like this great recipe of Krissy’s, one that would appeal to adults and children. Usually, my parties are for adults only, but this year, I am going to include children, so I wanted a spooky punch that I could make a minor adjustment to, adding alcohol for the adults. This recipe is perfect!
This is the beginning of my New Year, far more so then New Year’s Eve, with all of its frivolous merry-making. Halloween is a serious time of year, when magic is afoot and the spirits of our ancestors draw close, as the veil between this world and the next grows thin on All Hallows Eve.
