I’m pretty sure there’s no dinner easier or tastier than this 4 ingredient baked ziti (okay, technically six if you count the seasonings but that’s a technicality!). Between the thick and rich tomato sauce, perfectly cooked pasta and two kinds of cheese it’s pretty much the perfect dish. I could literally eat this for every meal of the day and not get sick of it.
It’s so quick to throw together—just cook some pasta, pour all the ingredients into the same pan, and bake it up. In less than an hour you’ll have one of the best pasta dishes you’ve ever had.
Ingredients
28 oz. tomato sauce (use the best quality you can find)
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
1 box penne pasta (16 oz)
10 slices fresh mozzarella
8 slices fresh provolone
Instructions
Cook the penne pasta to al dente according to package instructions.
In a small casserole dish pour 1.5 cups of the tomato sauce. Then top with the cooked penne.
Top with remaining pasta sauce and stir gently to cover the noodles.
Top with cheese.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes covered then another 15 minutes uncovered until cheese is slightly browned.

Quick tip: Stir in a pound of browned ground beef or Italian sausage to the tomato sauce before adding it to the casserole dish.
