It’s Not Artichoke Dip! One Surprising Ingredient Makes This Dip Totally Unique
While there are endless things you can do in the kitchen with brightly colored Swiss chard, I have to admit that every year I wind up making a salad with most of mine. I grow my own Swiss chard, and I make a lot of salad, so it just makes sense to me. However, when I’m in the mood, I love to make this Swiss Chard Party Dip.
When I’m lucky, I have more Swiss chard in the garden than even I can eat in salad form. This happened last year, when two dozen overwintered plants in the greenhouse came back to life with a vengeance! Thank goodness for my green thumb!
One of the things I love about Swiss chard is how amazingly big the leaves can get, but when I step inside the greenhouse and feel as if I’ve suddenly been transported to a wild forest. That’s when I know it’s time to cut them down and throw them into a dip. Even the most enormous leaves will shrink down to practically nothing if you cook them.
You can find Swiss chard in your grocery store, along with all the other fresh, leafy greens. You should take a stab at this recipe – it’s totally worth it!
