Bacon and Apples Pair Perfectly with Delicious Monkey Bread
I love any recipe that I can use for more than one meal. Whether it’s a casserole dinner that makes excellent lunch leftovers, or an appetizer that also works as a side dish, having those two-in-one recipes makes my life much easier. This recipe works for both a sweet and savory breakfast or a sophisticated dessert. If you ever had monkey bread as a child, you’ll love this recipe. It combines the delicious flavor of that childhood treat with the more grownup flavors of bacon and apples. Kids love this recipe too, though, don’t worry! The muffin size treat is perfect for keeping portions small and clean up is a breeze.
This recipe takes about 40 minutes from start to finish, but you’ll find that it’s not too much work on your part. Once you get the bacon cooked and the biscuits chopped up, the hard part is done. While I did give my favorite tip for frying bacon, feel free to bake the bacon like the recipe calls for if you prefer. It will give the bacon a more smoky flavor. Big thanks to the Jones Dairy Farm for this delicious recipe that is quickly becoming my favorite breakfast treat.

Quick tip: If you have trouble with your bacon shrinking and grease splattering in the frying pan, add some water to the pan as the bacon cooks.
