Keep The Oven Off This Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I am already planning my holiday menu. All the thoughts of turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce have made me crave these foods already- I know, I’m a few months early but I just can’t wait! Yet, who has time to cook a turkey during the week (or ever). And then there’s the fact that if you do manage to make a turkey, you definitely still need gravy.  Well, now there is slow cooker turkey and gravy to the rescue!

Homemade gravy is whipped up and put into the bowl of a slow cooker. The gravy really only takes a few minutes and one frying pan to make and is full of garlic and fresh thyme and just pure deliciousness. Seasoned turkey breasts are placed in the crock pot and then the mix is slow cooked for 7 hours. Go to work, run errands, or take a nice nap- whatever you do, dinner will be ready for you! And what a dinner it is! Luscious gravy and tender turkey- thank goodness I don’t have to wait until thanksgiving for this meal! Now you don’t have to wait for a holiday either, you can enjoy perfectly cooked turkey anytime!

Quick tip: If you don’t have time to make your own gravy, a premade mix will do.
