Quick & Easy Halloween Treats
I used to love Rice Krispie cereal when I was a kid, and I was sure that I could hear it talking to me (I had a wild imagination even then – I still do!). When the idea of Rice Krispie treats came along, I was one of the first kids on my block that was begging their mother to make them. Fortunately, they were not expensive to make, so we had them quite regularly, if we behaved well enough to warrant treats.
Now Jen brings this adorable adaptation of the classic recipe, just in time for it to make it to the Halloween party table. Aren’t these little Rice Krispie pumpkins adorable? The color is beautiful and they come with a Tootsie Roll stem as a bonus. The leaves are made from fruit roll-ups, so I suppose that adds a certain amount of nutritional value.
These are so easy to make! Almost as easy as the originals, which were pressed into a pan and then sliced into bars. It only takes a few extra minutes to add some food coloring, form these into balls and add the stems and leaves. That’s very little work for a lot of visual impact.

Quick Tip: You could also make these by melting the butter and marshmallows in 30-second intervals in your microwave.
