Looking For a Quick And Easy After-School Snack?
Karen at The Food Charlatan really has a winning recipe here! As she says, “This is the easiest recipe for happiness, in 10 minutes flat.”
Sometimes, necessity is the mother of invention. There have been many times when I found myself hard-pressed to come up with a dessert when guests have appeared, unannounced, and lingered for lunch or dinner. Then there are those times when the kiddos bring friends over after school for study sessions, and their brains need some fuel to help absorb those lessons. Or those moments when temptation overcomes me, and I just MUST have a little something sweet – and I want it RIGHT NOW!
With this clever and eye-rollingly delicious recipe, I can quickly and easily solve ANY of those problems. All it takes is a little can of crescent rolls, Nutella and some bananas. Mouth-watering heaven then is just about 10 minutes away.
You want something easy? Well, this is about as simple as it gets. In fact, the hardest part of the entire operation will probably be opening the can of crescent rolls! For some unknown reason, I can never seem to get the angle or pressure-of-the-hit just right the first time I give it a whack. Sometimes there is a time-delayed response, and the daggone thing explodes in my hands!

Quick Tip: Can’t get that pesky can of crescent rolls to pop open, even after a few good blows on the edge of your counter top? No problem. Just take the point of a knife – your regular cutlery will do, it doesn’t have to be sharp – and insert the tip into the actual seam of the can (not where the printing says to whack it). Now give the top of your knife a sharp blow with your other hand, a cookbook, etc. Instant pop!
