These Cheez-Its Chicken Tenders are one of the best things we’ve eaten and just so happen to be a great substitute for the fried chicken my kids so often crave. And can we just revisit the fact that these tenders are covered in CRUNCHED UP CHEEZ-ITS?? Whoever thought of this delicious idea is a genius!
And this recipe is just as easy as it is tasty. You just have to give your tenders a dunk in some honey mustard sauce so that all those Cheez-It bits stick to the chicken when you pop it in the oven. These are so much fun and will become one of your favorite dinners!
Ingredients
1½ cups (3 oz) Cheez-It cheddar crackers (I used Reduced Fat)
½ tsp black pepper
1¼ lb raw chicken tenders
1/3 cup honey mustard dressing (I used Light)
cooking spray
Instructions
Put rack in lower third of oven; preheat to 475°F. Line a baking pan with nonstick aluminum foil.
Pulse crackers in a food processor. Transfer to a bowl; stir in pepper.
Toss tenders in mustard, then dredge in crumbs.
Arrange on pan. Spray tenders with cooking spray. Bake, turning once, until golden brown, 15 minutes.

Quick tip: If you don’t have a food processor place the crackers in large plastic bag and crush it a rolling pin. Just note your crumbs may not be as fine.
