Honest-To-God, This Is Too Good To Be True!
This dessert is absolutely beyond belief! As I was flipping through recipes the other day, I came across the picture of this and it reminded me of others that I had seen, but something was just a little different about it, so I took a closer look. As I read Mary Ellen’s sumptuous recipe for pecan pie cheesecake brownies, I was utterly astounded!
You see, this dessert is really 3 desserts in one luscious, ooey-gooey confection! First, there is a layer of brownies, then there is the filling of a pecan pie, and on top of all of that, there is a cheesecake layer. Did I just die and go to heaven or something? I thought it really was too good to be true, and it immediately went into my recipe collection and my “have to bake this soon” file. How much more decadent could a dessert get?
You don’t really see so much of the pecan pie filling, because it bakes right on into the brownie and cheesecake layers. That is what makes it ooey-gooey and moister than anything you’ve ever had. Someone might call this a cake, even though there isn’t anything resembling a cake about it. But I would just call these pecan pie cheesecake brownies, since that’s the only way to explain this goodness!
