Hoist A Pint With These, Mate!
I have been looking for a fantastic slider recipe to use while entertaining guests for the Big Game days coming up over the holiday season. Cathy has come up with a scrumptious recipe for Guinness Beef Sliders that will be just perfect. Not only are they tasty, but they are very easy to make, too.
During a trip to London many years ago, I wanted the “full experience” of going to an authentic London pub. I was expecting something along the lines of an American nightclub, darkly-lit, with music, drinking and dancing. Imagine my complete and utter surprise when I opened the door and stepped into what appeared to be a fully lit and furnished living room!
There was a big wooden bar running along one wall, which was the only clue this was a bar. People were gathered in small groups on sofas, at small café tables and at a dart board, chatting gaily amongst themselves. I sidled up to the bar and told the barman that I wanted to try something unusual. “Pint o’Guinness, then, miss?” I agreed, having no idea exactly what I was ordering!
Imagine my surprise when a tall glass filled with the darkest brown liquid and a creamy, foamy head arrived. It looked like root beer, more than anything else.

Quick Tip: If you’d rather not use brown sugar, you can substitute an equal amount of honey.
