The Best Healthy Way To Start Your Day Without Skimping On the Chocolate

If I can find a way to incorporate chocolate into breakfast, I will make that recipe in a heartbeat. I think it’s safe to say that any day that begins with chocolate is going to be a good day. Yet, we all know that eating chocolate constantly might not be the best thing for our health (although our taste buds will be pretty happy…). That is why this recipe is so fantastic- it incorporated chocolate into a yummy nourishing muffin.

So why is this muffin so much healthier than other muffins? Well, to begin with, there is no butter or oil in the recipe but rather it is made with applesauce and yogurt. Not only does this make for healthier muffins but it also makes them moist and tender for days after they are baked. Oat flour (which is essentially just ground oats) replaces white flour and peanut butter is added not only for flavor but also adds some protein to these little perfect muffins.

Now we know all the benefits of these muffins so back to the chocolate…cocoa powder and chocolate chips are loaded in which will ensure you get your morning chocolate fix. So whip up a batch of these powerhouse muffins and enjoy a tasty, healthy breakfast.
