Incredibly Simple To Make, Yet Indescribably Delicious
In a rush? Need a last minute side dish for a party with friends? You won’t find one any quicker than this surprisingly tasty recipe from Jaclyn. Sometimes, the simplest preparations of food yield the best results. This recipe not only produces a dish with the sweet, caramelized depth of flavor that only roasting can coax out of a veggie, but it also gives an unexpected and striking presentation at the table.
To get the slices shown in the image, slice your cabbage from side-to-side through the widest part. Slicing rounds until you have as many as you need. Keep in mind that the slices will get smaller as you cut slices toward the end of each cabbage half. So if you want uniformly-sized pieces for a party presentation, you will need to slice more than one cabbage. Save the extra pieces to serve your family or chop up for salad.
If you want wedge shapes, cut the cabbage in half from top to bottom. Put the cut half on your cutting board with the cut side down, now cut that half into either 3 or 4 pieces, from top to bottom, and you will have perfect wedges.

Quick Tip: If you do not like marjoram or garlic, you can substitute other herbs or flavorings. During the last 5 minutes of roasting, you could also add Parmesan cheese.
