This easy beef stroganoff is as delicious as it is easy, and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve turned to it on one of those jam packed weeknights where everyone’s running in different directions. We have it so often that I’m fairly certain my youngest son thinks that’s the only option for dinner on Monday nights (our busiest of the week!)
But so far no one is complaining because this is just THAT GOOD. The meat gets all tender in the crock pot and the creamy (and super easy) sauce is perfectly flavorful thanks to the soup mix.
Ingredients
2 pounds stew meat, chopped into bite size pieces
1 oz. Packet French onion soup mix
2 10oz. Cans golden mushroom soup
2 soup cans of water
Container of sour cream
Cooked egg noodles for serving
Instructions
Brown 2 pounds of stew meat. Combine 1-1 oz packet of onion soup mix, 2-10 oz cans of golden mushroom soup & 2 cans of water in a bowl. Add meat and soup mixture to slow cooker. Cover & cook on low (or 275 degrees) for 8 hours. When ready to serve stir in 1-8 oz carton of sour cream. Serve over rice or noodles.

Quick tip: Sub ground beef for stew meat if that’s what you have on hand for ground beef stroganoff.
