So Easy Your Kids Can Make It

Better Than Mom’s Chili

Nothing says fall like a warm bowl of homemade chili! A few years ago, we did a neighborhood block party on Halloween and had a hayride and all for the kiddos. One of the dad’s in the neighborhood cooked a huge pot of chili since the autumn air was cool and crisp.

Complete with corn chip scoops and hot dogs for the kids, this chili covered all the bases: warm, rich and hearty. Top it wih some shredded cheddar cheese and it’s perfect! Frank had a little bottle of Tabasco too for the adults in case we wanted a little kick in our meal (my husband of course did since he loves spicy foods). It was a great dish to please the picky little monsters and us adults too.

Halloween festivities with costumes and candy paired perfectly with this warm dish. Instead of using chili out of a can or trying those difficult homemade recipes now, I use Frank’s easy chili recipe when my kids are looking for that hearty meal in the cooler months. Plus the recipe is really easy to double to make for larger crowds, unlike some other homemade chili recipes I’ve tried.

Quick tip: Add in extra spices for some heat!
