These Bite Sized Treats Will Make Your Whole Family Smile

I’m fortunate to live in the Midwest where we fully experience all four seasons. I love something about each of them, but when it comes down to it fall is my absolute favorite. To me there’s nothing better than a brisk fall day where I can pull on my comfiest sweater, a pair of jeans and boots and get outside with my family for some fun fall activities.

Every year we make our annual pilgrimage to our local pumpking patch and apple orchard—it’s two fall favorites in on place! We have three young girls and they love picking out their pumpkins to carve, riding the hay wagon and helping mom and dad pick as many apples as we can possibly carry (and eat a few along the way).

Once we finally make it home with our fall bounty the fun doesn’t end there. One of my favorite fall traditions that was passed down to me from my mother was a fall baking day. It’s a day where you don’t leave the house but instead spend your day elbows deep in butter and flour, making delicious and comforting treats for your family.

This recipe is one of our family favorites—and one that’s simple enough even our youngest can help with.
