All Of Your Friends Are Going To Want This Recipe!

Is there anyone out there that doesn’t like cinnamon rolls? I don’t think so! There is something about the combination of soft, yeasty dough, sweet sugar and warm cinnamon that just makes you drool in anticipation while they are baking. With that very first bite, your eyes even may roll back in your head.

Well, folks, as they say in show biz – “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!” These Peaches & Cream Cinnamon rolls from the three gals at Family Favorite Recipes are to die for! These are the creamy and fruity, ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls you have been waiting for all of your life, whether you know it or not. Imagine taking a bite of the yielding dough, stuffed full of buttery-sweet peaches and almonds, topped with a cream cheese frosting. Sheer heaven!

Don’t despair about the fresh peach season lasting such a short time. You can make these and have them turn out just as tasty using frozen or canned peaches, just as easily. Make sure you read the Quick Tip for some ideas that will help you use these alternative peach types and guarantee a successful outcome. Don’t get hung up on thinking that these are only suitable for breakfast – they make an excellent dessert, too!

Quick Tip:  You CAN make these up the night before – BUT – there are some things you need to watch out for, if you decide to do this. First, drain your peaches really, really well, even if you are using fresh peaches. Suggest putting them in a colander and letting them sit for a while and then press as much liquid as you can out of them. This goes double for frozen peaches and triple for canned peaches. Then, after you have made the filling and rolled the cinnamon roll dough into a cylinder, wrap it extremely tightly in plastic wrap. Do not cut the cylinder into individual rolls until you are ready to bake. Let the dough come back to room temperature before baking (you can slice while still cold from the fridge and place in baking pan). Why all these precautions? The excess liquid and sitting time will make the filling ooze out of the rolls and pool on the bottom of your baking dish, where it will caramelize and the rolls will be empty. Still tasty, but not as the recipe intends.
