Insane Concept – Devastatingly Delicious Results!
Sounds a bit crazy, right? Putting a brownie and a cookie all in one – a brookie? Well, it is becoming quite a popular trend in desserts these days, and many recipes are sprouting up, like this yummy peanut butter and chocolate version by Dorothy, which is also gluten free because it contains no flour! That’s right, there’s no flour, at all, in these delicious treats. So if you have issues with gluten, you can safely eat these!
I love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. It seems to take a monster-sized craving for sweets and cut it right back down to size. I often find myself eating when I am in an emotional state (I imagine a lot of you do, as well). So whenever I make a dessert or snack like this, I will cut it into extra-small portions. Then I only leave a few of them out at a time and freeze the rest so that I am not tempted to overdo it.
These peanut butter brookies have a flourless peanut butter cookie as the base. You might have seen that recipe before, as it has been floating around the internet for a while now. But the chocolate topping is what really makes these special. It is fudgy and moist, just like a brownie.
