I Had No Idea You Could Put This Liquid In A Bread Dough!
I have made this recipe almost hundreds of times, over the last ten years or so, and I love to experiment with different beers. That’s one of my favorite parts of this Beer Bread Loaf: you can experiment with your favorite lagers to get the best taste!
I have compiled this list of my top 8 personal favorite beers to use and what makes each loaf a little different and special: Adding Guiness beer makes the loaf very robust and just slightly bitter, but in a good way; Pabst Blue Ribbon makes this the butter-iest beer bread ever;
Sam Adams Boston Lager leaves a complex taste and is even better if you add dried cranberries to the mix; Pumpkin ales are the perfect choice for an Autumn bread loaf; A smoky porter will create a smooth and potent bread for use with savory soups and chowders – this is good for winter;
Any IPA will add a strong hoppy flavor to the bread, which is really good; Samuel Smith Nut Brown adds a nutty flavor to the bread without making it taste too heavy; Killian’s Irish Red is my favorite beer to use, which seems very fitting for a beer made with bread!
