A Better Way To Eat Vegetables
Even if you love vegetables, sometimes a pile of French fries just looks like a better option. Well, with this recipe, you can have your vegetables and your fries all at once! These roasted carrots and parsnips are the perfect combination of sweet and salty so they will satisfy any snack craving you may have. And guess what? The best part is that they are healthy for you! So feel free to eat as many as you’d like.
After you peel and slice your carrots and parsnips, they are tossed with some grapeseed oil, honey, salt and pepper and baked. Now you may be thinking “That is so easy! I can definitely do that!”. You may also be thinking “what is grapeseed oil?”. Well, it’s just a healthy cooking oil that is low in saturated fats and high in vitamin E- a great oil to use to add more nutrition to these delicious fries! However, feel free to use olive oil, coconut oil or any other type of oil you choose.
Because the carrots and parsnips seriously resemble fries, grab some dip to go with them- ketchup will do just fine! The sweet and salty veggies are perfect for dipping! So forget about boring, basic potato fries and try these next to your burger or when you just need a quick snack.
