Thanksgiving Gobbledygook!

  • maple pumpkin fall harvest trail mix

Snackalicious, Stashable Road Trip Food!

Now this delectable recipe of Amber’s is something we all need. Think about how often you are out and about, commuting from here and there to hither and yon. The Thanksgiving holiday period is probably the most travel-intensive timeframe, as everybody and their cousin try to get home for the family feast.

Tempers get short and people flare up in full-blown crazy at the drop of a hat. How much of that irritability, do you suppose, is caused by low blood sugar, and then triggered by the circumstances of travel? I would wager a lot of it!

But what if we had the foresight to make up a big batch of this Harvest Trail Mix and pack some in every available nook and cranny of our nomadic lives? We could stash some in our suitcases, pack some in our purses, and bundle some in our backpacks. Then whenever we were feeling ourselves slipping over the edge of travel insanity, we could pull out our handy stash of trail mix, eat a few bites and offer it to anyone that is flying off the handle, headed in our direction.

Imagine, the trail mix that brings about world peace, at long last. One hunger-crazed, low blood sugar sufferer at a time.

Quick Tip:  If you had the space available, you could make up a big batch of this and keep it in an airtight container, stored someplace cool and dry. It will keep that way for a week.
