You Like Cheese Don’t You? Well, This Has Cheese!
Do you need a good dip to take to a party, potluck or family gathering? You’re in luck then, because I just snatched this hot little number from Michaela. Everybody everywhere has been talking about this dip for years, Nobody knows where it came from, or how it got its unusual name. Or even what Texas has to do with any of it.
All anybody can tell you is that they like it, love it, can’t get enough of it! You don’t have to go looking all over the back 40 trying to find this, like it was a calf that strayed from the herd. Here it is, all spelled out in black and white and ready for you to toss together and bake it up so you can taste it for yourself.
There’s not really a lot to it, when you break it down. Just beans and cheese, a bit of seasoning and it is held together with cream cheese and sour cream. Don’t ask me why this is so addictive, because I don’t have a clue. But I can tell you this, I’ve been eating my refried beans with cheese, sour cream and hot sauce for years now. The combination becomes something you crave.

Quick Tip: Want it to be a little spicier? Add some ground cumin and crushed red pepper flakes.
