Once You Try This, You’ll Never Look At Cabbage The Same Way Again!
Cabbage has long been one of my favorite veggies. Here in the South, it seems to be valued much more highly than I ever noticed it to be during my many years living in the frozen Northlands. Down here, it is actually somewhere on the menu of just about every restaurant you visit. This is especially true of the mom=and-pop places that serve it quite simply. But it is no less true of the fancier place that will charge you a king’s ransom for a small bowl of it.
So when I saw Christin’s intriguing recipe for Sweet & Sour Cabbage With Bacon, I had to read more about it. She is a woman after my own heat, at least regarding cabbage. As she says, “I love any kind of sautéed cabbage, but this Sweet and Sour Cabbage with Bacon may be my favorite. When I make it, I find myself picking the last pieces out of the pan with my fingers. It’s that good.” I have been known to do the exact same thing, so I understand completely! There is just nothing like a tasty cabbage dish.
Personally, I think that I would eat this as a complete meal, in and of itself. It has meat, and it has veggies. What more could I ask for? A savory/sweet sauce, maybe? Yep, it has that, too!

Quick Tip: Want to make this into a heartier and more substantial meal? Just serve it with fried potatoes or boiled noodles
