Have These 5 Ingredients? You Can Make The Yummiest Lunch Or Dinner Recipe

  • pea and ham pasta

If you’ve ever liked carbonara pasta, you’re going to love my Creamy Carbonara recipe! I’ve simplified it a little bit here, so it’s easy for anyone to make without sacrificing the classic flavors of this dish.

I substituted bacon with ham, since it’s less salty and fatty. And I chose to use bow tie pasta noodles. However, short noodles like penne or macaroni would work really well too!

If your kids refuse to eat peas, serve them this pasta as their lunch one day, and I promise they’ll love it! At least, now my kids are huge fans of the little green veggie!

Ingredients:

7 ounces farfalle pasta (or other short pasta)

⅔ cup frozen petits pois

⅔ cup heavy cream

1¼ cups diced ham

2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Cook the pasta according to packet instructions in plenty of salted boiling water, and then after 5 minutes add the peas to the pasta water.

When the pasta is cooked, drain with the peas.

Put the dry pan back on the heat with the cream, ham and Parmesan and warm it through.

Add the pasta and peas back to the pan, tossing everything together well.

Quick Tip: The thinner your parmesan cheese is shaved, the faster it will melt in the pan.
