Enjoy the Bright Summery Flavors of This Fruit Salad Any Time of the Year

Have you ever wished that you could find a side dish for a meal that wasn’t heavy on the carbs, but that wasn’t yet another bland vegetable? This one is a Midwestern favorite, but not everyone “gets it”. I know because for years, I thought fruit salad was the strangest idea. It wouldn’t be so odd if not for the dressing that it’s often floating in, and the ingredients that aren’t fruit.

This one by Tastes Better From Scratch meets me halfway. Instead of having a strange, thin dressing, this one uses yogurt, so you’re almost eating a parfait. Second, this one does use ingredients such as marshmallows and coconut, but in a way that I can manage to enjoy. If you’ve never understood the appeal of this classic side dish from many a summer gathering, I recommend you give this recipe a try.
