Your Boring Side Dishes Are About To Get A Huge Makeover
I love Asian inspired food! Anything that has a peanut flavor or a little spiciness to it has my name written all over it. That’s why I was so excited when I finally convinced my neighbor, Diane, to give me her recipe for Easy Asian Coleslaw.
We’ve been to a few neighborhood barbeques together in the past, and this is the dish Diane always contributes to the party. Everyone always tells her how good it tastes, but I have been begging and begging her to give me the recipe.
The dressing for this coleslaw is thick and creamy. It has Granny Smith apples in it, which adds such a sweet and tart contrast to the dish. However, my favorite part about this Asian inspired coleslaw is all the crisp vegetables. I love munching on a crunchy coleslaw in the hotter months, but the little bit of heat in the Asian flavors makes this a great recipe for chillier months too.
Of course, if this recipe is too spicy for you, you can always omit the cayenne pepper. However, I love all the ingredients in Diane’s Easy Asian Coleslaw. If you don’t have some of the ingredients, like rice vinegar or sesame oil, they’re actually much easier to find than you would think! Any grocery store that has an Asian aisle will have all the ingredients you need.
