They May Be Tiny, But They Pack a Real Sweet Punch

What’s teeny and tiny and lives in the sea? No, it’s NOT SpongeBob SquarePants! It’s shrimp! You want a tasty dinner that you can put on the table in less than 20 minutes flat? Well, here it is.

This has to be one of the quickest meals to prepare ever on record. If you organize your ingredients, you can whisk your marinade together in about a minute, then get your shrimp marinating for 15 minutes. While you are waiting on the shrimp, steam your veggies (I always like broccoli with this dish, but some carrots might be nice) and get your quick-cooking rice started (white jasmine rice is very quick, if you can’t find the microwavable rice), then cook your shrimp, which only takes 2 minutes. That’s 18 minutes total!

But what good is speed and ease of preparation if the dish doesn’t have tantalizing taste? You won’t have to worry about that with this dish. Not only is it faster than you ever dreamed possible, but it also has a savory, sweet taste that will knock your socks off!

If you would like it to be a little on the spicy side, add ¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce. It will change your world!

Quick Tip:  You can look at your local market for quick-cooking rice that you steam in the microwave in about 90 seconds. It’s a fantastic time saver when you want rice in a hurry, and there’s no sacrifice to the taste and mouthfeel, such as there is with instant rice.
