My Family Goes Nuts For This Easy Meal—Yours Will Too!

  • pineapple glazed ham steak

This Dish Will Literally Take 15 Minutes From Start to Finish

My husband and I don’t always see eye to eye on what to have for supper. He’s definitely a meat lover and would be totally fine with steak and potatoes every night if it were in our budget. I, on the other hand, have a penchant for being a proponent of meatless Mondays and would eat breakfast for dinner every night (because who doesn’t want pancakes at 6PM??)

This means we typically have different dinner time solutions for busy week nights. He’s all about stopping at a fast food joint for a burger and I prefer throwing together a veggie and egg skillet. Can you guess which one my kids prefer? (Don’t answer that!)

But the other night we were visiting his parents’ for dinner and the stars aligned to show us a quick and easy dinner option we could both agree on—ham steak!

I know, so random, right? But I love ham more than any other meat, and once I realized how quick it could be to prepare my mind started racing with ways to turn it into a tasty dinner our whole family would love.

Then it hit me.

Quick tip: You can use this pineapple mixture as a glaze for a fully baked ham. Simply spread it over the ham before putting in the oven to bake.
