Easy, Healthy & Tasty, Too? How Can You Beat That?

You’re Gonna LOVE What’s For Dinner Tonight!

Now doesn’t this look tasty? Leave it to Amanda to improve upon the basic chicken noodle casserole! If you are bored with those ho-hum casseroles in your life, check out this great recipe that adds veggies, oodles of cheese, bacon, a velvety-rich sauce and even a crispy-crunchy topping of fried onions to the standard fare. This definitely isn’t your grandma’s chicken noodle casserole!

Make no mistake, however. This is real comfort food, just with some snazzy pizzazz added to liven things up in your mouth. Every bite will have your taste buds singing a happy song and thanking you for trying something new and different.

Look at life from their perspective for a minute. They are forced to eat those same 10 meals you always fix, week-in and week-out. It must be maddening! But they have no voice to beg for mercy in the form of something different – anything different! If they could get up and run away screaming, I am certain they would!

Imagine their first taste of this casserole. Was that a mushroom? Is there sour cream in here? It’s BAAAACON! You have to be careful though….they are going to be begging you to have a second helping. Then maybe a third. They may actually weep when the casserole dish is emptied of the last pea (you know it’s always one lone pea left, right?).

Quick Tip:  You can make this casserole a day in advance. Just let it cool completely before covering and refrigerating it. When you are ready to bake it, let it sit out for about 30 minutes to come to room temperature first. Bake, covered at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes. Uncover, add 2 oz. French’s crispy fried onions and bake another 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
