Chinese food can become addictive, after all, 1.3 billion Chinese people eat it every day. With its tremendous variation in cuisine styles and ingredients, coupled with quick preparation methods, it has an innate appeal for a busy cook.

But face it folks, most of us are not masters at cooking with a wok. Thus the popularity of Chinese takeout! That, however, can get more than a little expensive, especially if your family members all prefer a different dish.

You won’t even have to spend long hours in the kitchen, poring over Chinese cookbooks and toiling over a hot stove. Instead, let your slow cooker do the heavy lifting required to get a delicious Chinese-inspired meal on your table.

You can spend your newly-created free time doing something to pamper yourself, playing with your kids or pets, going for a leisurely walk and stopping to chat with your neighbors, maybe taking up gardening or another hobby you have wanted to pursue, but gave up on, all because your life was too hectic.

Quick Tip:  For juicer, more tender results, put your chicken breasts into the slow cooker while they are still frozen, and cook for 5 hours on Low. Make sure that the chicken breasts are cooked to 165 degrees F by checking them with a meat thermometer, before you remove them from your slow cooker.
