I know traditional pulled pork is smoked but you won’t miss that extra work one bit with this wonderfully flavorful—and easy—recipe. It’s got all the barbecue flavor you could ask for in a pulled pork (courtesy of traditional barbecue sauce staples like tomato paste, brown sugar and seasonings) with all the ease of a slow cooker dish.
The smell as this cooked was heavenly, and we couldn’t wait to dig in. Once my friend shredded it up we piled it high on toasted hamburger buns and lost ourselves in the tangy goodness. This is definitely one recipe you can’t pass up!
Ingredients:
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 lb pork tenderloin
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 tsp soy sauce
2 TBSP spicy brown mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
pinch cayenne pepper
Directions:
Scatter the sliced onion in the base of your slow cooker. Lay the pork on top of the onion.
In a bowl, whisk to combine all remaining ingredients. Pour evenly over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Shred the meat by using two forks and pulling against the grain.

Quick tip: If you like your meat to be extra seasoned feel free to rub the tenderloin with a little salt, pepper and cayenne pepper before setting in crock pot and adding the rest of the ingredients.
