These Are A Triple Threat—Fast, Easy And Delicious
There’s a conflict of interest in my life. You see I’m so NOT a morning person. I can’t function before 8AM without a strong cup of coffee and find it hard to be motivated to make anything more complicated than a bowl of cereal in the mornings. And, yes, sometimes even Pop-Tarts make it onto the breakfast menu on particularly rushed mornings.
But on the weekends it appears that my children really appreciate a hot breakfast. Something freshly made that feels a little more special than a weekday breakfast that’s eaten while we rush out the door. And, fortunately, now that my kids are older they actually sleep in every now and then, meaning even this non-morning person can whip up something they’ll love.
More often than not we stick to omelets (or egg scrambles when things don’t’ quite turn out as planned). The kids love the gooey cheese and my husband and I love that we can squeeze some veggies into breakfast. However, recently I’ve been seeing a recipe for donuts floating around that even a novice baker like me could tackle I knew I had to try it out.
And it did not disappoint!

Quick tip: Instead of a glaze give the hot donuts a quick roll in a cinnamon-sugar bath for a different flavor twist.
