If You Haven’t Made This Bakery Classic At Home Yet Now’s The Time To Try
After I had my first child my taste buds did a complete 180. Foods I used to hate tasted absolutely delicious and foods I once loved just didn’t seem to do it for me anymore. It was strange to say the least—I didn’t crave pizza multiple times a week anymore? My husband thought an alien had suddenly taken over his wife’s body.
And one of the most notable changes was my lack of sweet tooth. Before there wasn’t a cookie, cake or brownie I didn’t like. Now salty foods were what I craved. So when a friend dropped off this cake I wasn’t expect to having more than a bite or two before passing it off to my husband and other family members.
But boy was I wrong! In just a few hours after receiving the cake I had managed to polish off a whole row all by myself and hadn’t even told my husband it had been dropped off. I found myself wanting to hide it so that I didn’t have to share.
Fortunately, saner heads prevailed and I let my husband have a slice, and we both agreed. It was by far and away the best crumb cake we had ever eaten.

Quick tip: You can sub in light brown sure in the recipe but the flavor will be missing some molasses notes you get with dark brown sugar.
