This Extra Special Pie Has Won First Prize For Three Years!
Sometimes, regular, old birthday cake just doesn’t cut it! Sometimes, you need to change up your dessert game a little to keep things interesting.
I frequently submit recipes to my church’s baking competitions, and this recipe for Chocolate Candy Bar Pie has won first prize for the last three years! That’s right – three years! There’s something about chopped up candy bars that makes a dessert one million times better than any other.
This recipe calls for Snickers bars, and, I swear, the whole pie taste like the real candy. Both kids and adults love my Chocolate Candy Bar Pie, and I’ve been getting begged for the recipe ever since it started winning awards.
I’ve finally decided to reveal my recipe, and I highly encourage you to make it for your local baking competition too. In fact, this would make a great substitution for anyone who is tired of the same holiday or birthday desserts.
It’s made in three easy steps: the crust, the filling, and the ganache topping – just like a real Snickers bar would be made. For the best dessert, I suggest adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream to the top of your pie slice. The cool and creamy contrast to the crunch and chocolatey flavors will make your whole body smile!
