Tired Of Thanksgiving Turkey? Try This Instead!
Holidays can be needlessly stressful. There are times when putting on the whole big Thanksgiving feast is just too much bother, too much stress, or just not necessary because there are only a few people (maybe just you, even – that’s fine, too) that plan to attend. Let’s face it, hosting a big Thanksgiving production is a LOT of work. Some years, I just don’t feel up to the challenge. I would like a low-key event, where I could spend time enjoying my guests, not fussing over food.
Blair must have been reading my mind when she developed this outstanding recipe! It has all of the traditional nature of a complete Thanksgiving dinner, but it is so incredibly simple and easy. Still, you do want your comfort food, especially on this holiday that celebrates abundance. Well, never fear, this recipe has you covered!
This great recipe even has its own gravy, built right in! How’s that for convenience? Although the recipe specifies chicken as the protein, there is absolutely no reason why you couldn’t use turkey cutlets or a turkey breast, although you might want to slice the turkey breast into smaller pieces to ensure it cooks thoroughly in the time allotted.

Quick Tip: Another stressful component of holiday feasts is the clean-up required afterwards. With this being a slow cooker meal, get a liner for your slow cooker and make the clean-up a breeze. If you do have other dishes, enlist the help of others in tidying-up the kitchen – many hands make light work!
