This Is A Slow Cooker Recipe That Every Sriracha Love Must Have

After making hundreds of chicken recipes in the slow cooker, I can say that sometimes I am not happy with how dry the chicken can be. Using chicken thighs can definitely help but I am usually a fan of chicken breasts- they are just so much easier! This recipe, however, has used chicken breasts in a slow cooker in a way I never thought of and with amazing results!

By cutting up the chicken before placing it in the slow cooker, it cooks so much faster and therefore, doesn’t dry out! Such a simple solution, you’d think I would have come up with that before! The amazing sauce that this chicken is cooked in is also a huge help. Honey, Sriracha, ketchup and a few more ingredients are blended together and poured over the chicken in the crock pot. All that sweet and spicy honey sriracha flavor is cooked into the chicken for hours making finger licking good.

This chicken definitely makes a great sandwich as the recipe indicates. The sauce soaks into the bread and the chicken is so tender, it flakes apart with every bite. You can also use this chicken just on top of some rice or paired with a side of potatoes and vegetables. However you use it, you are going to want to lick the plate clean- don’t waste any of that sweet spicy sauce!

Quick tip: Whole chicken thighs will also work in this recipe however allow for about 7-8 hours of cooking on low.
