This One’s For True Chocolate Lovers Only—You’ve Been Warned
I consider myself to be a fairly decent cook. I’m the head chef for our family and take great pride in putting delicious meals on the table every night (or most nights—even a cooking lover like me needs a break every now and then!). Pasta is my specialty, but there’s pretty much no dish that I won’t try to master.
Baking, though, falls into the hands of my wonderful husband. He definitely got the talent for mixing butter, sugar and flour and creating all things sweet. So to say my family goes into dessert withdrawal when he’s on an extended business trip is definitely an understatement.
To appease the masses better known as four hungry kids I’ve had to learn how to make a few simple sweets to tide the troops over until our favorite pastry chef’s return.
I enlisted the help of my trusty friend the internet to help my find some fool-proof recipes to feed my kiddos without stressing out. And let me tell you I found some pretty impressive treats. However, there was nothing more exciting to me than the day I discovered you cook bake a cake in your crock pot.
My life was officially changed.

Quick tip: To ensure an easy clean up line your crock pot with a crock pot liner. Simply toss away when the cake is gone!
