Your Sandwiches Will Never Taste Better Than With This Delicious Bread

  • SANDWICH BREAD

This homemade sandwich bread recipe has such a great flavor and is so simple that’s it seems too good to be true—but it’s just the bread recipe you’ve been looking for. With only five ingredients and a little bit of patience (yeast does need time to rise) you’ll be rewarded with the best sandwich bread you’ve ever tasted.

I make a fresh loaf of this every single week and my family just gobbles it up. And it truly is so easy! Pick yourself up some yeast and impress your family with this recipe. Then sit down with a sandwich—you’ll deserve it!

Ingredients:

2 cups water, warm
1 1/5 Tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. (2 1/4 Tsp) dry active yeast
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
2 tsp salt
5 1/2 cups all purpose flour

Directions

Combine water + yeast + sugar.  Let sit for 5-10 minutes, until foamy.

Stir in salt + butter + 2 cups flour.  Mix well with a wire whisk.

With a spoon, mix in the rest of the flour, enough to form a stiff dough.

Turn onto floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until dough forms a smooth, elastic ball.

Place into greased bowl, cover with a clean towel and let rise until doubled, approximately 1 hour.

Punch down and separate into 2 loaves.  Put those loaves into your pans, cover, and let rise for an additional 30-40 minutes.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown.  The loaves should sound hollow if you tap on it with your knuckle.

Quick tip: If you’re looking for a more exact temperature your “warm” water should be around 110 degrees.
