This homemade taco seasoning has been a saving grace in my kitchen—and for by budget! Plus, I don’t need to worry about all the additives that you can find in store-bought seasoning. It’s only got ingredients you recognize and may already have on hand to whip up whenever you get a taco craving.
I make a big batch of this (usually do a quadruple batch) and save it in a tight seal jar, so I don’t need to make it every time I want Mexican food. And you know what? I think it’s even better than any I’ve bought in the store—and my whole family agrees.
Ingredients
1 Tablespoon and 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1-3/4 teaspoons ground cumin
1-1/4 teaspoons sea salt
1-1/4 teaspoons black pepper
Instructions
Mix all seasonings together and use immediately or store in air tight container.

Quick tip: This is great for flavoring other things besides ground beef—try with chicken or pork or to make seasoned rice.
